PEMF therapy
PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) uses controlled magnetic pulses in the µT–mT range that penetrate tissue and induce very weak electric currents (Faraday's law). These microcurrents do not "hit" nerves like electrostimulation — they modulate cellular processes: inflammation, microcirculation, pain signalling, regeneration.

The pulsed magnetic field supports bioelectric activity and microcirculation.
How does it work?
The method has been used in medicine for decades, longest in orthopaedics for bone healing, and works in a frequency range close to the body's own electrical processes — with no thermal effect.
- Membrane potential and ion channelsThe pulsed field influences ion-channel opening probability — especially calcium. Ca²⁺ is a central second messenger for inflammatory genes, muscle tone and nerve excitability.
- Anti-inflammatory signallingAn influence on adenosine receptors (A2A/A3) — the body's inflammation "brake" — is described.
- Nitric oxide and microcirculationIn multiple models PEMF is linked to NO signalling — key for vasodilation, endothelial function and tissue healing.
- Bone remodellingThe oldest clinical application: stimulation of osteoblast activity and local circulation. An early controlled osteoarthritis trial is Trock et al. (1994).
How does it go at our centre?
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy with individually set programmes. The aim is modulation of tissue bioelectric activity, microcirculation, pain, recovery and autonomic regulation.
- Session: 20–40 minutes (night modes for certain applications).
- Typical course: 3–5 times weekly at first, 8–15 sessions, then maintenance.
- Parameters (frequency, intensity, waveform) are set individually per the doctor's plan.
- Common pairings: PEMF + PBM + H₂; for pain — PEMF + TECAR/PMCT; for sleep — with HRV follow-up.
Combinations: PEMF + PBM + H₂; for pain PEMF + TECAR/PMCT; for disturbed sleep — with HRV follow-up.
What does it combine with — and why?
The combinations come from the protocols — each one has a physiological reason, not a sales one.

+ TECAR

+ Photobiomodulation (PBM)

+ Hydrogen inhalation (H₂)
When is it not done?
Contraindications are checked before every procedure — which is why they stand here, before the booking, not at the door.
